| Midtown This is the center of New York business. The area is quite widespread from Central Park at the north, at 59th Street, to 34th Street; and from the East River west to the Hudson River. In general, midtown indicates 42nd Street to 57th Street from Madison Avenue west to Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue).
